Company’s History

Started Company

June 26, 1983

Emporium Ramai Ramai Sdn. Bhd. commenced business on the 25th June 1983. Located at rented premises Lot 1 & 2, SEDCO Building, Lahad Datu. With a initial staff of 60, we operated from there for 15 years. In 1998, the company moved to our present home we call  WISMA RAMAI RAMAI.We were officially opened on 9th September 1999.

 

Since inception in 1983, the company has been the first and premier supermarket cum department store in daerah Lahad Datu, Sabah. Since 1998, its self-owned building, Wisma Ramai Ramai has become the landmark in the town. With sound management principles, ethical business practices, and efficient team of motivated and trained staff, the company thrives and excels in social corporate responsibility as well.

First Branch

May 5, 2017

The first branch was open located at MDLD 9636-9641 Lot 4-9, Block 15,Lorong iPeak 2, iPeak Business Centre,91112 Lahad Datu, Sabah.It was officialy opened 5 May 2017,Ramai Ramai i-Peak were launched by Mr Lam Jer Kang.The event was attend by all of employees,customer and the invited guest median.The ceremony started with a five time hit the ‘gong’ and the event released colorful balloons.

New Building

September 9, 1999

With a systematic and full-fledged plan that the business has great potential,Emporium Ramai Ramai has move forward by setting their own building as Wisma Ramai Ramai located  at Jalan Bunga Raya.It was officialy opened on 11 November 1998,11:11 am.The building has double-store with 50,000 square feet. On 0 September 1999, 9.09am Wisma Ramai Ramai were launched by YB Datuk Tham Nyip Shen deputy chief minister also the minister of Sabah’s industrial development minister. The event was attend by all of the employees and the invited guest YB Samsu Baharun Assistant Ministor of Sabah industrial development MCA president Chairman of the trade hall. Representative of YMM Lions Club Lahad Datu, representatives of suppliers  and residents of Lahad Datu. The ceremony started with a 9 time hit the gong and the event released 99 colorful balloons.

Our Staff

Our people are our greatest asset. Many of our pioneering staff members are still with our organization. Today we are 120 strong. Many too have attained their 10th, 15th, and 20th, years of service. Honesty, Trust, Integrity are the byword of staff. It is instilled within the whole spectrum of Emporium Ramai Ramai.

Training

The best training is on the spot and on the job. Here the seniors guide the juniors and the new recruits. The emphasis is always serving the customers the correct way: politely and with a smile Customers come first and so our motto :
“Ren Ren Wei Wo, Wo Wei Ren Ren , 人人为我 ‘ 我为人人”.
All our employees are encouraged to attend courses whenever possible. The current emphasis is computer literacy.

Company Logo

  This logo was first used at the beginning of establishment until 1997.The form contained in the logo represent 3 people working together as a team.  Each form of “人” signifies a state company that will continue to thrive in the future. Red indicates the grandeur, the prosperity and the courage to face business challenges. Gold color on the line “人” symbolizes honesty and trust among colleagues.
Emporium Ramai Ramai Sdn.Bhd. use the new logo in 1998.The logo design is still retained by saying China logo the symbolizes a modern and easy to understand.The color red brings good luck meaning that a Chinese favorite color and green represents the color favored by the Malays. In 1998, the company has registered the logo as a trademark ownership of the company.
